Book Discussion Group
“I think that God knit me together in my mother’s womb, but has also been knitting me together every day since. I think God knit together my body and my identity. I’m not just a woman. I’m not just a man. I’m transgender. That’s what God intended.” This is a quote from the introduction of the book Transforming: The Bible and the Lives of Transgender Christians by Austen Hartke which will be the focus of our summer book discussion Sundays at 9 am led by Pr. Jennifer. This book provides access into an underrepresented and misunderstood community to learn more about transgender people, faith, and the future of Christianity. By introducing transgender issues and language and providing stories of both biblical characters and real-life narratives from transgender Christians living today, the author helps us visualize a more inclusive Christianity. Click here for more info about the book.  Please contact the church office at for more information.
Luther’s Small Catechism
Join Pastor Jennifer as she leads a class during Faith Formation time in Founders Hall: Luther’s Small Catechism — It’s Not Just for Confirmation!  All interested adults are invited to join us at 9:30 AM, as we wind our way through Luther’s elegant theology to better understand our faith and how it is grounded in God’s work in Christ.
St. Timothy Men’s Group
NOTE: Currently on hiatus. Every Tuesday we have the opportunity to check in and say “hi." No pressure to speak on a particular topic or read a certain lesson, just an hour a week to mentally get out and talk about our weeks activities, concerns, aspirations, joy, etc. Please contact Thomas Aben ( for more information and to receive the Zoom link.
Cradle Roll
When a child aged 1 month to 3 years is welcomed to St. Timothy through baptism or joins St. Timothy from another church, they are enrolled in the Cradle Roll.  The Cradle Roll uses the Splash! program published by Augsburg-Fortress, an education and nurturing program for parents. The Splash! packs cover three age ranges: 1-12 months, 13-24 months, and 25-36 months.  Each month parents will receive a mailing with age-appropriate faith-filled play, worship, meals, and prayer  activities for parents and their children, including helpful parental guidance. We encourage parents to be their child's first Faith Formation teachers as they begin their lifelong faith journey.

ELCA Youth Gathering July 24-28, 2022
Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.
The St. Timothy Youth are very active with service activities in the community, Bible study and fellowship. Our students also participate in state and national Lutheran gatherings such as Affirm and All Tennessee. We encourage all youth from grades six through high school to join in the fun.
