Affirm
Affirm is the ELCA’s church camp for teens. For one week, teens and chaperones from the Southeastern Synod congregate on a southern college campus for a deeper look into their faith and what it means in their lives. https://www.sesyouth.org/affirm
Confirmation
Confirmation, the Lutheran Affirmation of Baptism, is a one-year program for middle school students, and runs from September to May, with Confirmation in May of each year.  Confirmands, led by St. Timothy staff and Pastor, study Luther's Small Catechism and important aspects of Lutheran doctrine and practice.
Cradle Roll
When a child aged 1 month to 3 years is welcomed to St. Timothy through baptism or joins St. Timothy from another church, they are enrolled in the Cradle Roll.  The Cradle Roll uses the Splash! program published by Augsburg-Fortress, an education and nurturing program for parents. The Splash! packs cover three age ranges: 1-12 months, 13-24 months, and 25-36 months.  Each month parents will receive a mailing with age-appropriate faith-filled play, worship, meals, and prayer  activities for parents and their children, including helpful parental guidance. We encourage parents to be their child's first Faith Formation teachers as they begin their lifelong faith journey.
ELCA Youth Gathering July 24-28, 2022
Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.  https://www.elca.org/youthgathering
Faith Formation – High School
High School Faith Formation classes meet from 9:15 - 10:00 am each Sunday morning. The class is open to all students in grades 7-12.  For Fall 2021, the students will be using Re:form Ancestors: Old Testament as the curriculum.  It is a youth Bible study that explores the ancestors of our faith by exposing the real, unpolished, and unexpected personalities. This is a hybrid class - Mr. Thomas will offer class in-person and on Zoom at the same time. Students who choose to attend in-person will meet in the Youth Room from 9:15 am - 10:00 am.  Students who choose to stay virtual will sign on using Zoom. When you sign on, you will see Mr. Thomas and other students who are attending in-person.  If you need Zoom information, send an email to Mr. Thomas.

Vacation Bible School
Each summer, we welcome children from throughout the community to join in a week of learning and fun. Engaging themes and music help bring the Bible to life for youngsters four and up. Adult volunteers help plan, equip, construct and teach in this popular annual event.  Stay tuned for information about our 2022 VBS next year!
Youth
The St. Timothy Youth are very active with service activities in the community, Bible study and fellowship. Our students also participate in state and national Lutheran gatherings such as Affirm and All Tennessee. We encourage all youth from grades six through high school to join in the fun.
